I must admit - I am really not a technical person when it comes to motorcycling or even cars. If given the choice, I'd rather not check my engine oil levels or even tire pressure.
But as much as I hate to get my hands dirty with chores, I know that they are necessary in ensuring my safety.
So far, I've been checking my engine oil fortnightly or when I get nagged to do so. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for checking my tire pressure because I don't know how to, and I don't know what is the standard for my tire pressure.
But one fine day, I was just doing some window shopping in a Car Accessory Shop and I came across a Digital Tire Gauge:
Drawn to its cool design and techy features, I decided to purchase it for Lionel since he checks his tires ever so frequently.
Like a little boy who's just received a new toy, he quickly opened it with much interest and curiosity when I passed this to him the next day. After which, he pressed the buttons to find out its functionalities and starting checking them out.
Then, he came over to my bike and started checking my tires which really made me gulp because I've never checked my tire pressure and I have no idea whether the results would be a large deviation from the standard!
True enough, he tested out my front tire and the reading came back and it was lower than the standard. He proceed to the rear tire but could not proceed because it was harder to take the readings and well, we were short of time.
Well, I can't exactly give you the technical review on this Digital Tire Gauge, but in layman's terms, it's really quick, functional, and practical - with just one press of a button. So if you'd ask if it's good, I'll say why not? We do have to keep track of our tire pressures from time to time right? So why spend the extra time going to the petrol kiosk to get it checked when you can buy this and check your tyre pressures anytime you want?
